Newstalk's Henry McKean, who bears a resemblance to corrupt 'Love/Hate' dentist Andrew, says he is glad the character was killed off during Sunday's finale.

The dentist, played by Peter O'Meara, met a grizzly end during the episode, as his body was dumped in a suitcase in a Dublin canal.

Although Mr McKean may not be stopped by strangers and joked with by friends, workers and family members anymore, he says he's delighted with the move.

"I'm glad he was killed off. Now I can get on with my life. I don't think I look that much like him, but everyone said it to me," he said.

"It's flattering all the same. It's funny that people would think that."

Mr McKean said a group of girls stopped him in Ringsend a few days ago due to his resemblance to the dodgy character.

"I said 'Yes I managed to drag myself out of the canal,'" he tweeted yesterday.

Mr McKean, whose TV3 documentary 'The Truth About Travellers' was recently shown on UK's Channel 5, even dressed up as the late character for Halloween.

"I used real scrubs from St Vincent's Hospital, which I must return."
