'LITTLE Britain' star David Walliams will be making his theatrical debut in Dublin next month in the Gate Theatre's production of the Harold Pinter classic, 'No Man's Land'.

The television comedian, who is best known for his portrayals of mad Scottish hotelier Ray McCooney and "rubbish transvestite" Emily Howard in the hit BBC series, will be performing in his first stage production in the black comedy. He will play one of two "sinister henchmen" who accompany a pair of ageing writers who are re-acquainted on London's Hampstead Heath after many years and then embark on a marathon late-night drinking session.

The tragicomedy was first performed at the Old Vic in London's West End in 1975.

The play also stars Irish-born actor Michael Gambon and opens on August 26 for a four-week run.
