My Perfect Weekend: Mario Rosenstock
The plan for Saturday night?
At the moment, Gift Grub Live every Saturday until the end of November, all over the country.
Must see gig/performance you're looking forward to?
I think Take That in Croke Park next June could be one to remember.
Pub/restaurant/club you couldn't live without?
Neary's on Chatham Street. And I can't wait to see Robbie Fox's new incarnation, The Pink, on Dawson Street.
Best weekend ever?
Amsterdam 2000. I got engaged to marry Blathnaid. And Brian O'Driscoll scored three tries as Ireland won in France for the first time in 30 years.
Worst weekend ever?
As a Liverpool supporter, nearly every one.
Favourite pre-going out ritual?
I usually spend some time in front of the mirror doing Travis Bickle's 'you talking to me?' speech from Taxi Driver.
Top post-pub munchies?
Ismael Kebab, Merrion Row. Tastes great!
Weirdest taxi queue moment?
It's been 10 years since I've seen a taxi queue. That's because the place is overrun with taxis! And another thing, those gobshites up in Leinster House ... (sorry I just turned into a taxi driver).
Best chat-up line at 2am?
I once overheard a guy trying to chat a girl up by saying 'do you want to come to a party in Ringsend?' She said no,whereupon he said that it was at Colin Farrell's house. She then said 'yes' and they left. So if he was lying, he had no chance -- if he wasn't lying, what was he hoping to do? Watch?
Your perfect date?
The Munch (aka Mrs Rosenstock).
Gift Grub 11 is out now. Gift Grub Live is at West Country Hotel, Ennis, tomorrow night and tours through November
