Niall Horan has joked he never went to school because he wanted to lie in.
The 20-year-old singer put education to one side to concentrate on his musical career and has hit the big time as one fifth of One Direction.
He's enjoying success with his bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne and admits academia was never his strong suit.
When one fan tweeted: "I bet Niall was always absent in school because he "accidentally" slept in until 3 pm (sic)" he responded with: "u know me too well (sic)".
The comment from Niall's follower came after he lazily tweeted: "Can't get out of bed!! (sic)."
The Irish star will need to make the most out of his time off, as things are about to get busy with the band's Where We Are Tour kicking off in Colombia on April 25.
"Hope I don't get stuck in the hotel in South America! would love t have a look around ,doubt it though! : (sic)," he wrote.

One Direction are touring throughout the year and finish up in Miami in October. Their support act is Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer, who are currently enjoying a stint at number one in the UK charts with smash hit She Looks So Perfect.
It seems there are some surprises in store for fans lucky enough to have tickets.
"you guys are gona get a serious shock when ya see the stage for the tour! it's absolutely huuggggeeee (sic)," Niall promised.

He also had some banter with 5 Seconds of Summer's Michael Clifford, who makes up a quarter of the band alongside Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin.
"@Michael5SOS: #5beers5minutes”u wish mate! I've seen u on the floor after 2 beers (sic)," Niall wrote to his musical pal.
