IRELAND'S Eurovision hopeful Ryan Dolan has taken to the stage for his first rehearsal in Malmo Arena.
The 27 year old Strabane native gave the first glimpse of what viewers can expect from his performance in the first Eurovision semi final, next Tuesday.
Tribal celtic imagery features heavily in the staging of Ryan's song 'Only Love Survives'.
Not just presented as a backdrop to the performance, but also as body art adorning two topless male dancers, playing bodhrans.
Ryan is joined by a third topless man, on the drums. And his two female backing vocalists dressed in black, complete the line-up on stage.
Speaking to press and journalists after his first rehearsal, Ryan was upbeat about how it all went for him.
"We got to run through it a few times, and once we got the sound sorted at the start, we were really happy with it. Not a lot to change", he told Eurovision website ESCkaz.
Talking to escXtra, Ryan echoed the confidence in his performance, saying "I was really happy with the rehearsal. Everything went well. The sound is amazing", while confiding in them that "the nerves really started a day or two ago".
Ryan won't be partaking in too much of the dancing and drum banging going on around him though, telling Eurovision.tv "I'll be concentrating on the vocal mostly. It's a tough song to sing".
Ryan Dolan will perform 'Only Love Survive' in the first semi final of Eurovision next Tuesday.
