Usher: Being a dad improves music
Usher has revealed how being a dad has changed him for the better.
The chart-topping singer is father to two sons - four-year-old Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely, 2 - and, as he returned to the studio to record his seventh album, said he thinks fatherhood has improved his music.
"It has changed me to be a better man. I'm the most happiest with my children, wherever I am," he said.
"My music is more expansive, understanding emotions that I never had known before having my boys."
But Usher - who is the ambassador for Belvedere (RED) - insisted that the upcoming record wouldn't be as personal as his previous offering, Raymond v. Raymond.
"This record is more about having fun and the celebration of life," he said.
"The new sound comes from my recent experiences travelling around the world and talking to people as much as I could while I was travelling. I hope it will be music that my fans will really respond to."
