Trio inducted in Blues Hall Of Fame
Bonnie Raitt, Chicago bluesman Lonnie Brooks and harmonica player Charlie Musselwhite are among the artists selected to be inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
Raitt, who is best known for her 1989 album Nick Of Time, has had far more commercial success outside the blues, but the Blues Hall Of Fame committee said it was recognising her for her devotion to the genre and its musicians.
Raitt shared a Grammy award with John Lee Hooker for their duet I'm In The Mood.
She also co-founded the Rhythm And Blues Foundation, an organisation that provides financial and medical assistance to blues artists.
The induction ceremony will be May 5 in Memphis, the evening before the Blues Music Awards.
