Toni Braxton's 'therapeutic' album

Toni Braxton has revealed how recording her latest album, Pulse, was like therapy for her.
Last November the RnB singer announced she had separated from husband Keri Lewis after eight years of marriage, just as she was in the midst of working on the new record.
"This album was therapeutic for me - in fact, it's probably the most personal album I've ever done in my entire career, because my husband and I - even though we're still best of friends - recently separated," she told Blues And Soul magazine.
"So because of that, recording this album around that time was a bit challenging for me. A lot of the songs on there do reflect the things I was going through at that time."
Toni, who took a five year hiatus from music, feels Pulse has opened up a new part of her life.
"For me this album is not just another chapter, it's a whole another book. I feel I've gotten a second chance at life, a second chance at my career," she added.
