Tinie Tempah, The XX and Plan B are all recognised for their songwriting talents in this year's Ivor Novello Awards nominations list.
And a single which peaked at 121 in the charts has also been nominated for a top award.
MY KZ, UR BF, by Manchester band Everything Everything, is in the running to pick up the Ivor Novello for the best song "musically and lyrically".
It is up against the Foals track Spanish Sahara and Becoming A Jackal by Villagers.
Mercury Prize winners The XX are nominated for best contemporary song for Islands along with Tinie Tempah's Pass Out and Katy B's Katy On A Mission.
Everything Everything are also nominated for the album award alongside Bombay Bicycle Club and Plan B.
The rapper-turned-soul crooner's song She Said is nominated for the most performed work award along with Kylie Minogue and Scouting For Girls.
The annual awards reward "excellence in British and Irish songwriting and composing" and are voted for by songwriters.
They will be handed out at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in central London on Thursday May 19.
