Tinchy Stryder, indie-folk act Mumford And Sons and Mercury-nominated Go! Team are the first acts confirmed to perform at Summer Sundae.
Organisers have promised a "vibrant" line-up to mark the music festival's 10th birthday this year.
"We are delighted to announce two huge success stories of the moment - Mumford And Sons and Tinchy Stryder," director Rob Challice told the Leicester Mercury.
"Mumford And Sons have become one of the most significant British success stories in recent years. They are a band on the verge of greatness. Tinchy Stryder, meanwhile, is quite possibly the hottest thing in British pop music right now and a real coup for the festival."
Laura Veirs, Lou Rhodes, The Fall, The Whip and The Sunshine Underground are also on the bill.
Summer Sundae is held at Leicester's De Montfort Hall from August 13-15.
