The Scottish indie rockers - fronted by Kyle Falconer - will play Delamere Forest, in Cheshire, on July 4, while chart-topping popsters Scouting For Girls will take to the stage at Thetford Forest, Suffolk, on July 8.

The shows are part of the Forestry Commission Live Music 2010.

Other acts such as Keane, Simply Red, Doves, The Saturdays and Katie Melua will also play Thetford Forest in June and July.

The View - consisting of Falconer, guitarist Peter Reilly, bassist Kieren Webster and drummer Steven Morrison - have had hits with Wasted Little DJs, which won a NME gong for track of the year, and Same Jeans, and have been working on their third album.

Scouting For Girls hit the top spot at Easter with their latest single, This Ain't A Love Song, from their second album, Everybody Wants To Be On TV.

Tickets for both forest shows will be available from April 29 at 9am - see www.forestry.gov.uk/music.
