Taylor to battle boys for ACM title
Taylor Swift is the only woman to have been nominated for entertainer of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
The 22-year-old singer and actress, who took home the fan-voted gong last year, will battle it out against Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton to hold onto her crown at the 47th annual ACM Awards, which will take place on April 1 in Las Vegas.
Taylor is nominated for three awards in total including female vocalist of the year and video of the year for her single Mean.
Renee Zellweger's ex-husband Kenny leads the field with nine nominations, including song of the year for his steamy duet, You And Tequila with Grace Potter.
Nominees were announced via social media with the help of stars such as Reba McEntire and Lionel Richie. Fans were chosen to announce the entertainer of the year candidates. They will also vote for the winner in that category and new artist of the year.
Nominees for best new artist will be announced after the close of online voting on January 30. Fans are currently picking the nominees in that category from a list of eight semi-finalists.
The other award winners are picked by the academy's membership.
