James Taylor is to give four concerts at New York's Carnegie Hall next year.
The singer-songwriter - whose hits include You've Got A Friend and Handy Man - will host a gala on April 12, 2011, to celebrate the hall's 120th anniversary.
Later that month the Grammy winner will explore the roots of his music - from bluegrass and blues to church hymns - and then in May he will lead a "guitar conversations" programme and a concert featuring his greatest hits.
The series of shows is titled Perspectives: James Taylor.
