Take That's free Caribbean gig
Take That are to see in New Year by performing a free gig in the Caribbean.
Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange will be escaping the British weather by jetting off to Barbados after Christmas as they've agreed to play a one-off show at a top-secret beach location for the head honchos of Universal.
Newly reunited bandmate Robbie Williams will not be joining them as he has "family commitments".
A spokesman for the band confirmed the exclusive performance, saying: "It's basically a chance to get away in the sun and perform a few songs at a party for friends. They are not being paid a penny."
The quartet are expected to lead everyone into 2011 with a chorus of Auld Lang Syne, amidst a fireworks display to kick off the new year.
"The lads have had arguably the best year in their 20-year history, and bosses wanted to celebrate with a truly memorable party," a source told the Daily Mirror.
"It's all top secret. No one's been told the precise venue yet - just that it will be beach-side, somewhere on the west coast. The boys are really looking forward to it and will use the evening to showcase some ideas for next year's tour."
