Spot the difference - Rihanna channels Miley Cyrus at last night's iHeartRadio awards bash
Jaws may have dropped when Miley Cyrus was spotted on the MTV Awards red carpet last year, but it looks like even the biggest stars are playing copycat to the popstar’s style.
Miley rocked 1990s-style buns on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards last year before ‘that’ performance with Robin Thicke and now it looks like Rihanna could have been inspired.
The 26-year-old Bajan beauty took to the stage of the iHeartRadio Music Awards to grab a total of four awards last night, all the while looking very Miley-esque.
The ‘Pour It Up’ singer styled her hair á la Cyrus and her bun-wearing predecessor Gwen Stefani.
And the similarities didn’t stop there.
The singer channelled Miley as she posed with her tongue sticking out as she accepted the Artist of the Year award.
She led the winners at the bash as she scooped a total of four gongs.
Dressed in an all-black sheer lace maxi dress with bright green lipstick, the star stood out a mile from the crowd. She finished her look with a black leather jacket draped over her shoulders and strapped sandals.
Not holding back on the bling, Rihanna also rocked several neckaces and massive hoop earrings.
The star mentioned the pressure artists feel in the industry when she accepted her awards on stage.
“Rihanna Navy! This award is for the fans as they said,” she stated as she took to the stage. “It’s not easy what we do, it’s very difficult at times, it’s a lot of pressure to be a lot of things and I’ve never felt comfortable being anything but myself. And I want to thank my fans for embracing that and supporting that. I love you guys.”
The 26-year-old added that she was speaking on behalf of all the nominees, adding that sometimes she finds her job hard.
“There are times when it gets really difficult but when we think about the fans and the support that’s what keeps us going. Rihanna Navy, thank you! Congratulations,” she said.

Lorde was another winner, receiving the most votes in the Best New Artist category. Jared Leto accepted on her behalf, with the crowd cheering for the Oscar-winner as he was on stage.
Also triumphant was Miley Cyrus, whose track Wrecking Ball won her the Best Lyrics gong. Her father Billy Ray Cyrus accepted on her behalf.
