Kiesza: Hideaway, 3 STARS

It's hard not to get excited about Kiesza. She trained as a sniper in the navy, represented Canada in Miss Universe and now she's turning her hand to music. And for that we thank her! Her debut single is a perfect mix of soulful house with just enough of an electro-pop twist to bring it mainstream. With a catchy bass line and her oddly attractive strangulated bleating, it's quickly working its way up the charts, having already reached the summit in the UK. A trained ballerina, Kiesza shot the video in one take through the streets of New York, whilst nursing a broken rib.

Hozier: From Eden, 3 STARS

Just when you thought he couldn't top Take Me To Church, Hozier releases his second single, From Eden, and captivates us all over again. This song is the perfect showcase of his intoxicating vocals, and his incredible skills as a songwriter. Currently number two in the Irish charts, Hozier is joining his fellow countrymen Kodaline and The Strypes in achieving European success with this track, with Zane Lowe describing it as "The Hottest Record in the World". I can't disagree.

Mr Probz: Waves, 3 STARS

Mr Probz has given us one of the biggest dance hits for the year. A breezy club beat, remixed by Robin Schulz, complete with Mr Probz's husky vocal, Waves is the perfect summer anthem. Just like fellow Dutch DJ's Nicky Romero and Martin Garrix did before him, Mr Probz has just hit number one in the UK, and he's gradually working his way up the Irish ladder.
