A man who claims Chris Brown punched him during an altercation outside a Washington hotel has filed a civil lawsuit against the singer and his bodyguard.
The man, Parker Isaac Adams, said in a telephone interview he's seeking to recover his medical bills.
Brown and his bodyguard were arrested in October after Adams alleged both men struck him during an altercation outside the W Hotel over a picture Brown was taking with two other people. When Brown was arrested, the Grammy winner was on probation in California for a 2009 attack on singer Rihanna, his then-girlfriend.
Prosecutors and lawyers for Brown were also expected to choose a start date for his trial on a misdemeanour assault charge stemming from the incident.
