Simon's sellout gig a warm-up for Marquee
THERE was less screaming than the scenes witnessed at Take That at the weekend.
But the crowd were no less enthusiastic when Paul Simon (above) took to the stage for a sellout gig at Dublin's Vicar Street last night.
A number of RTE stars -- including Joe Duffy, Dave Fanning and newsreader Bryan Dobson -- arrived at the venue during a downpour.
But the mood of the crowd was lifted when the legendary performer began playing songs from his new album, 'So Beautiful or So What'.
The American singer-songwriter played the warm-up gig ahead of a concert at the Marquee in Cork tonight. It will be his first time in Cork since playing a sold-out gig there in 2008. Tickets for tonight are still available.
