She's not Hannah Montana anymore - Miley Cyrus unveils raunchy new video
MILEY Cyrus has firmly ditched her clean cut Disney image after unveiling her latest raunchy music video.
The video, released earlier today, is for her new single titled ‘Wrecking Ball’.
During the video, 20-year-old Cyrus straddles a giant wrecking ball completely naked.
She also provocatively licks the side of a giant sledge hammer.
The star sparked outrage after an over-the-top performance at the MTV awards, which saw her grind into singer Robin Thicke and spank a giant teddy bear.
A week after the controversial performance she came under further fire from parents’ groups after showing the middle finger to photographers outside her recording studio.
Cyrus, who rose to fame as the star of children’s Disney TV show Hannah Montana, has been attempting to shed her good girl image and appeal to an older market.
She was reportedly axed from an upcoming issue of Vogue by the magazine’s influential editor Anna Wintour, who found her VMA performance ‘distasteful’.
The video has been trending on Twitter, and it has already amassed over one million views on YouTube.
However reaction from her fans on Twitter is mixed, with many expressing their disappointment that the raunchy video has taken away from the song.
“wrecking ball is actually an awesome song but miley naked & making out with a sledge hammer really takes away from the video” one said.
“Wrecking ball is such a good and meaningful song, why did the video have to wreck it” another tweeted.
Meanwhile another complained: “Why does she always have to be so overly sexual? The song is sad, why are you swinging naked on a wrecking ball?”
