MORE than 140 carolers have donned their most eye-catching Christmas jumpers to record a charity single they hope will top the charts.
The Twitter Christmas single will raise funds for suicide charity Console and goes on sale December 9.
Organiser Brenda Drumm, a communications officer from Newbridge, Co Kildare, tweeted last year asking: "Wouldn't it be great to have a Twitter Xmas Single?"
Within seven days, fellow tweeters met in a Dublin hotel to record a cover of 'Winter Song'. It went to the top of the iTunes charts.
This time, they've penned an original song – 'Holding on for Christmas' – and hope it will do even better.
