Search for new hitmakers launched

Three veteran songwriters have launched a competition to find a hitmaker of the future.
Graham Gouldman, who wrote hits for bands including 10CC, Busted and The Yardbirds, has joined Born Free songwriter Don Black and US singer Neil Sedaka to judge the talent search.
Graham said: "This is a great opportunity for us to see what talent is out there and I was drawn to this competition as it's all about rock 'n' roll, which is where I started my career all those years ago."
The competition follows the plot of the musical Dreamboats and Petticoats, currently playing in the West End, which tells the story of a national youth club song writing search in 1961.
The winner of the competition will see their song performed on the stage as part of the show.
Entries should submitted by MP3 at the show's website: www.dreamboatsandpetticoats.com
