Scouting For Girls have joked they hope their female fans will strip as they dance along to one of their new songs.

The She's So Lovely rockers have penned a new track on their album called 1 Plus 1 with the repetitive chorus, "Take off your clothes", and they're hoping girls will do just that at festivals this summer.

Frontman Roy Stride told the Daily Star: "It seemed a bit too risque for Scouting For Girls so we weren't really sure about playing it live at first, I didn't even think initially about the effect it may have on the girls in the audience - but now we can't wait for the warmer weather, especially the festivals."

He laughed: "[Bassist] Greg [Churchouse] thinks all his dreams have come true at once just thinking about it."

Roy, Greg and drummer Pete Ellard release their new album Everyone Wants To Be On TV on April 12 with a revamped new image - and they are now hoping to collaborate with rappers N-Dubz.

Roy revealed: "Dappy recently came up to me and said: 'Massive respect Roy'. He said he was a fan of ours. He then stuck around and watched one of our gigs in Newcastle from the side of the stage.

"It would be awesome if we could collaborate with N-Dubz."
