Recognise this face? Maniac 2000 DJ Mark McCabe to host new 2fm show

5-4-3-2-1, take this house to the maximum!

Mark McCabe, the man behind 2000’s monster hit ‘Maniac 2000’ will present a new show on 2FM called 'The National Chart Show'.

The two-hour show will count down the official Irish Top 30 singles chart and Mark says he is delighted to be back on the decks. .

"It's been my ambition to bring the Irish charts back to the national airwaves for quite some time now, and I'm delighted that 2fm will air the weekly chart show exclusively,” he said.

"Since the 2fm shake-up, music has become a massive priority for the station. I'm really delighted to be part of the new schedule."

‘Maniac 2000’ is a dance floor favorite, recorded live at 'The Wezz' disco held at the prestigious Old Wesley Rugby Football Club, the tune remained in the number one spot in the Irish charts for ten weeks. Eventually Bloodhound Gang’s ‘Bad Touch’ knocked it off the top spot.

As if that wasn’t enough excitement, Cormac Battle will also present a weekly rock, indie and dance show at 10:00pm on RTÉ 2fm.
