Professor Green has confessed that despite his success, he's more anxious now than he's ever been.

The London-born rapper, who recently performed on The X Factor, admitted he struggled to catch any sleep before or after his performance on the TV talent show.

"I was up at 4.30am the night before X Factor," he revealed. "I was up again at 4am the night after the show as well. I don't know why I'm so nervous, I just get really nervous about everything."

The Read All About It star also made his debut on BBC show Later...With Jools Holland last week, and said making more high-profile appearances was helping him cope with the jitters.

"I'm more nervous now than I've ever been," he said ahead of the performance.

"But the more things like this I do, the more it's turning into excitement. I can't wait to see what's next."

:: Professor Green's second album At Your Inconvenience is out now.
