The Prodigy and Franz Ferdinand are among the headline acts for Australia's Future Music Festival 2010.

The bands will visit Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, performing to over 200,000 people at the award-winning event, along with Empire Of The Sun, David Guetta, Dubfire and Above And Beyond.

Empire Of The Sun said: "It means a great deal to be able to play on such a grandeur future production with such imaginative artists to the wonderful Australian people - we are ecstatic."

The festival begins at Brisbane's BRC Doomben Racecourse on Saturday February 27 and then tours the nation to coincide with the Sydney Mardi Gras and the Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne.

The Future Music Festival comes to Perth on Sunday February 28, Sydney on Saturday March 6, Melbourne on Sunday March 7 and finishes at Adelaide's Rundle and Rymill Parks on Monday March 8.
