Perry purrs over cat-themed perfume
Katy Perry was a vision in purr-ple as she launched her cat-themed scent - but turned up her nose at a his-and-hers range.
The I Kissed A Girl singer, who looked the cat's whiskers, said she and new husband Russell Brand did not plan to take on Victoria and David Beckham with dual scents.
Katy - launching her Purr perfume - joked: "I don't foresee that happening absolutely ever. We do that in our own time."
The Teenage Dream singer - who was fittingly wearing a Miu Miu dress - flew in from New York for the launch. She added: "For me, I have different goals with what's going on in my life and I know he does as well."
Katy, 26, said her other half had given the thumbs-up to her debut perfume, inspired by her love of cats.
"He does [like it]. I gave him a bottle this morning to give to a friend. He thinks it's very cute. He knows there's going to be a lot of jokes about it," she admitted.
Katy said her creation would stand out from the ever-growing range of celebrity scents.
"There's a lot of c**p out there, but this has got a cool vibe, and I know people can't wait to get their claws on it. It's the purr-fect purr-fume that I know will leave you meowing with delight," she quipped.
"It's different and unique, cute and cool. I put my heart and soul into it."
She and Russell married last month in India.
