Paloma Faith: ‘One Direction are robotic’

SINGER Paloma Faith has hit out at One Direction, branding the superstar boyband’s gigs ‘robotic’ and ‘sad’.

The singer told The Mirror: “A lot of the time when you go to the shows of acts like One Direction it just sounds like the album, a pre-recorded gig.

"There's no banter between songs, it's all robotic. It's sad”, she added.

The ‘New York’ singer, who describes herself as a socialist, also slammed the ticket prices charged by acts like Madonna.

“I think it's disgusting when Madonna and co set ticket prices at £300 - I don't believe in elitism.”

The singer, who is nominated for Best British female at the Brits tonight, also hit out at British Prime Minister David Cameron for attempting to claim praise for legalising gay marriage.

“In my mind, two consenting adults should be able to marry each other without there having to be a discussion about it in the first place”, she explained.

She added that she wouldn’t like the Prime Minister to attend one of her gigs, however she would be ‘civil’ to him if he purchased a ticket.
