P Diddy has defended his extravagant birthday present to his 16-year-old son Justin Dior.
The rapper splashed out on a silver Maybach, estimated at around £244,000, for his eldest child's 'sweet sixteen', which was later featured on VH1's My Super Sweet 16.
Asked by Martin Bashir on US show Nightline if the gift was appropriate, he said: "I think it's appropriate to give my kids whatever I want to give my kids - I feel the way I raise my children, I don't have to explain to you or anyone else, 'cause nobody knows the way I raise my children."
P Diddy - real name Sean Combs - also defended his parenting ways.
"Nobody knows the lessons that I've taught my children to understand, if they are mentally ready for that," he continued.
"It wasn't even about a lesson, it's what I wanted to do. I could do whatever I want to do and you can't question me about it."
When Martin suggested that having six children by different women was setting a bad example for his fans, the rapper replied: "All of my kids are taken care of. They all go to the best schools."
