Cash-strapped Oxegen revellers have been given more time to pay for the three-day event, writes Allison Bray.
Promoter MCD last night confirmed it has extended its ticket-deposit scheme so that instead of having to fork out the entire €224.50 in one go for a three-day pass, festival-goers will now have until June 19 to pay their balance in full after paying an initial €120 to secure a weekend ticket.
"Recognising that everyone's a little more careful with their money at the moment, organisers introduced an initial deposit scheme in March to give fans a flexible way of paying for their tickets," MCD confirmed.
"That scheme ended on April 30 but received such overwhelming positive public feedback that organisers have agreed to introduce this new deposit scheme to give even more of its fans the chance to spread their payments as well."
Music fans can take advantage of the deposit scheme at all Ticketmaster outlets as well as over the phone or online.
Tickets are limited to four per person. But to encourage people to car-pool, MCD is giving away one free car parking pass with every four tickets purchased.
