Pop star Justin Timberlake stunned a group of waitresses when he left them a generous £2,450 (€2,973) tip.

The singer left the large sum of money for the staff after partying in a nightclub in German city Cologne.

The 33-year-old was kicking back at the Crystal Cologne club after performing two nights in the city as part of his ‘The 20/20 Experience World Tour’.

Waitress Nina Blum was delighted and taken back by Justin’s generosity.

‘‘We were all really amazed,’’ the 28-year-old nightclub worker said.

The hitmaker was invited to the venue for free drinks and partied there until around 4.20am according to The Sun newspaper.

‘‘He was in a great mood, a real gentleman,’’ said nightclub boss Yunus Arslan.

He said the superstar turned up to the nightspot with a 25-person entourage in tow following his gig.

Justin reportedly earned $34.1million in the US in the last year, according to Billboard's annual Money Makers 2014 'rich list' published last month.

However, the A-lister is not known for handing out financial help.

Earlier this month, the singer pulled The Voice UK contestant Jamie Johnson on stage to sing with him.

He sang, ‘‘I Can't Make You Love Me’’, accompanied by Justin’s backing band and backing vocalists while mentor Kylie Minogue proudly looked on.

He brought the 19-year-old talent contest hopeful on stage as he rehearsed for a performance at London's The O2 as part of his world tour.
