'New possibilities' for Daft Punk
Daft Punk are keeping hush about their forthcoming music - but admit that doing the score for Tron: Legacy "opened up some new possibilities".
The electronic French music-making duo are rumoured to be working on a new album - the follow-up to 2005's Human After All, but refuse to confirm or deny the stories.
Thomas Bangalter told the Hollywood Reporter: "We never say never - we want to do more Daft Punk music. "
Of the soundtrack, he said: "We've learnt a great deal of things from this. We like the idea of having this addition to our palette. It definitely opened up some new possibilities of adding traditional instruments with electronic ones. We are trying to find every art form to express ourselves."
The 35-year-old added: "We just finished this thing, which was a challenge, and we're now working on things to come."
His bandmate Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo added: "We like to keep things as a surprise. It's always better like that."
