New faces to join Pussycat Dolls
Friday December 18 2009
Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin has revealed that there will be some "new faces" when the girls return from their hiatus.
The American choreographer said frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger would be joined by "a couple of new faces" but stopped short of divulging who would be leaving, telling MTV News: "There will be a few new faces in the Pussycat Dolls - some of the girls want to go and do their own thing.
"We're moving on, we're excited... We're looking at new girls... It's phase three of the Pussycat Dolls because we did our first album, our second album and now we're going on to our third," she added.
Robin explained that she doesn't mind the changes to the Pussycat Dolls line-up, which currently consists of Nicole, Kimberly Wyatt, Melody Thornton, Ashley Roberts and Jessica Sutta.
"Inside every girl, inside every woman, is a Pussycat Doll and I always want to bring in new faces to really show there are so many Pussycat Dolls out there. It isn't about one forever," she said.
And she insisted that the group aren't breaking up.
"The Pussycat Dolls, who are currently working on some new music, are not at all breaking up," she declared.
"I'm the creator of the Pussycat Dolls and I own the brand. I'm the first one; I would be the one to say, 'OK, it's over'. It's so not."
