The 'Tricolore' will be replaced by the Irish Tricolour for this group of Italian fans on Thursday night as they get behind Nicky Byrne's Eurovision performance.

A group of friends got together to perform a cover of the 37-year-old's official Song Contest entry and they did a pretty impressive job.

The former Westlife star will perform his song 'Sunlight' in the second semi final next Thursday in Stockholm.

Despite mixed reviews of his first rehearsal on the Eurovision stage, the experienced performer is expected to to put on an improved show on the big night.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, the father-of-two said of his earlier performances: "We're our own worst critics and we all know we can all get better and all get better and make it the best we can.

"It's a live performance so anything can happen.  Right now we're in good shape.  We still have the dress run to do and the big night on Thursday."

Here's hoping his chances have improved now that he has an international fan base behind him.
