Tributes pour in as legendary trance producer Robert Miles dies age 47

Italian trance producer Robert Miles, whose real name was Robert Concina, has passed away aged just 47.

The artist, who was born in Switzerland but lived in Italy, was best known for his track, 'Children', which was released in 1995 and hit number one in 12 countries around the world.

It featured on his debut Dreamland album which also spawned tracks One and One and Fable.

In more recent years he produced and opened a Balearic radio station.

Italian magazine DJ Mag Italia reported the news of his death, stating he passed away from an unreported illness. 

"The tragic news of the death of a very talented artist of our time, makes me incredulous and upset,” said his friend, Joe T Vannelli. “I will miss the fights, brawls, criticism, judgements but especially your talent in finding sounds and melodies unparalleled."
