Ticketmaster: 190,000 Garth Brooks tickets have been refunded
Ticketmaster has said the Garth Brooks refund process is proceeding as planned and at close of business today some 190,000 tickets had been refunded.
It warned customers again to allow seven to ten working days for the refund to take effect.
"We are continuing to receive refund requests from customers and will be working through those as quickly and efficiently as possiblem," a spokesperson for Ticketmaster said.
Yesterday fans of country and western music star Garth Brooks began their ticket refund process after it was confirmed none of his five Croke Park concerts would go ahead.
Ticketmaster outlets on St Stephen's Green and Jervis shopping centre were busy all afternoon yesterday as music fans returned to the stores with their tickets in hand.
Brooks fan Josephine Murray said she found the process to be surprisingly smooth.
“Everything has been fine so far. I was lucky I had my bank details on me, but besides that it’s very straight forward," she told independent.ie
"I was disappointed when it was called off but we just have to move on now.
"I have that date booked off so I will do something. I
"It’s fine for me as I’m living in Dublin, but it’s the people outside of the capital who I would feel sorry for.”
A Ticketmaster spokesperson said customers who bought at Ticketmaster outlets can download a refund form, or collect one from an outlet, and post the form back with the ticket or return it to the outlet.
