Luca (12), Finn (10) and Dempsey (7) also known as The Byrne Brothers will perform alongside their father Tommy in Downtown Disney’s Raglan Road pub for St. Patrick’s Day.

The brothers from Donegal will also perform fifty gigs in New York next March.

“They’re all music mad and dance mad. We don’t have anything like an Xbox in our house; we spend our time dancing and singing,” said Tommy, who shares his love for Irish traditional music with his sons.

Dempsey plays the bodhrán, fiddle and whistle, Finn plays the banjo, mandolin and whistle and Luca plays the accordion, whistle and bodhrán. All three are Irish dancers and Finn is an Irish dancing champion.

“The boys are very focused, they practice every day,” he said.

Last Christmas the boys were on The Late Late Toy Show playing a variety of traditional Irish instruments.

“The Late Late Toy show was an amazing experience for us. The support we got from Donegal was unbelievable, it was like we were the Donegal football team,” said Tommy.

“Dempsey is the character. He’s the one everyone looks at because he always winks at the ladies and tells jokes. He’s the coolest kid and a comedy genius.”

The brothers have performed in many gigs across the country as well as Harvey Point’s cabaret show.

“I had a show in Donegal Town called the ‘Slice of Ireland’ that Dempsey was in since he was two.”

Tommy said that mum Julie keeps “everything in order”.

“She’s responsible for the boys’ attire. She looks after everything.”

The Byrne Brothers are set for an American tour in 2018 which will last from six months to a year.

“We’ve an agent out there and a lawyer. Everything is lined up,” said Tommy.
