The Stone Roses are reportedly working on their third album.

The Manchester band released their second album, Second Coming, way back in 1994 and are finally working on new material.

The band will reportedly release the album this summer to coincide with their new tour, which includes a date at Marlay Park in Dublin on July 9.

A source told The Mirror, "Ian Brown and the lads have been busy getting their next album ready. It will be album number three. It's a long time coming but they feel the time is right now. They've been back in the studio. Everyone is very excited about it."

However, the newspaper also said a spokesperson for the band declined to comment on the rumour.

There has been no mention of new music since 2013 when Mani admitted they were working on a "few bits" after they had reformed the previous year.
