Taylor Swift hits back at Kanye West in Album of The Year speech at the Grammys
Success really is the best revenge.
Taylor Swift had some choice words for Kanye West at Monday night's Grammys as she accepted the prestigious Album of the Year award.
West said he "might still have sex" with Swift, whom he started a long-standing feud with at the 2009 MTV VMAs, before burying the hatchet in 2014. But the Bad Blood singer was reportedly furious with him dropping her name in his new album, sparking a fresh war of words.
But Taylor handled her response with class, saying during her acceptance speech: "As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame.
"But if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday, when you get where you are going,' she added, 'you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment."
Swift also won Grammys for best pop vocal album for 1989 and best music video for Bad Blood, her collaboration with rapper Kendrick Lamar. She opened the ceremony with Out Of The Woods from 1989.
