Spice Girls WILL re-unite for 20th anniversary world tour – but Victoria Beckham won’t join line-up
THE Spice Girls are set to go on a 20th anniversary reunion tour next year – but as a four piece.
Rumours had swirled for months that the band would hit the road again to commemorate 20 years since ‘Wannabe’ shot to the top of the charts.
However Victoria Beckham had refused to commit to a tour – she is reported to have told the group their performance at the 2012 Olympics would be her last in the band.
Band manager Simon Fuller met with Beckham in LA last month in the hopes of smoothing things over and convince her to appear.
However while she is still refusing to go on tour, she did meet Geri Halliwell to offer her blessing to the other four girls hitting to road, according to The Sun.
Mel B is reported to be furious that the Beckham won’t join the tour – fans noticed she un-followed the fashion designer on Twitter.
However it is believed that Beckham has said she will attend some of the gigs – giving fans hope that she could be persuaded to take to the stage at least one more time with the band.
The Spice Girls are the highest selling girl band of all time, selling almost 100m records since their 1996 debut.
At their peak between 1996 and 1998, they are estimated to have generated well over half a billion Euro in revenue.
