RTE Choice Music Prize: Full line-up announced

The full line-up for this year's Choice Music Prize was announced by RTE today.

The event takes place on Thursday, March 9 to honour all ten acts who have been nominated for the prestigious €10,000 music prize for Irish Album of the Year.

The full line-up includes: All Tvvins; Bantum; Wallis Bird; The Divine Comedy; Lisa Hannigan; Katie Kim; Overhead, the Albatross; Rusangano Family and We Cut Corners.

James Vincent McMorrow has also been nominated for the award but will be unable to perform on the night due to touring commitments in Australia.

The €10,000 prize, from IMRO and IMRA, is awarded from a panel of Irish music media professionals based solely on music rather than airplay or sales.

Last year's winner was Derry singer SOAK, for her debut album Before We Forgot How To Dream.

The singer-songwriter received her award from U2's Adam Clayton.

Past winners have also included, The Divine Comedy, Delorentos, Jape, Villagers, The Gloaming, Adrian Crowley, Super Extra Bonus Party and Two Door Cinema Club.

The event takes place in Vicar Street on Thursday, March 9.
