RTÉ Concert Orchestra hosting special Back to the Future screening with Alan Silvestri's score performed live in synch

The RTÉ Concert Orchestra has a real treat for Back to the Future fans with a special screening accompanied by the live score.

The classic 80s sci-fi, which was directed by Robert Zemeckis, will be shows on a high definition screen with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra performing Alan Silvestri’s dazzling musical score live in synch.

The event will feature brand new music by Silvestri composed specially for these live orchestral presentations.

Silvestri collaborated with Zemeckis on several classic films including Romancing the Stone, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Forrest Gump (for which the score was Oscar nominated), What Lies Beneath, Cast Away (which won a Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition), The Polar Express (also won a Grammy, for Best Song), and Flight.

Ernst van Tiel will be the conductor at the event which takes place on Sunday November 15 at 3pm and 8pm at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin.
