Outspoken rapper Azealia Banks has defended Tyler, The Creator following his ban from entering the UK due to his lyrics, by saying Eminem deserves the same treatment.
The 24-year-old female rapper has lashed out on Twitter about the double standards.
Yesterday, Tyler, The Creator was forced to cancel his UK gigs because his presence was deemed "not conductive for public good" by the home secretary.
Politician Theresa May said Tyler's homophobic lyrics encouraged violence and fostered hatred.
Harlem native Azealia took to her favourite medium to state her own opinion.
As a friend of Tyler, she tweeted how hypocritical it was to ban him for offensive lyrics while others were let away scot-free.
"So if the UK is banning Tyler the creator for some old lyrics about harming women they should ban Eminem too?" she questioned.
"Oh yeah that's right... Eminem is white so he gets the courtesy of being forgiven in the public eye...."
"Tyler is just a nerd who is not going to harm anyone. I think banning him from the UK is very very unfair."
"Society just needs to be consistent with its outrage," she concluded.
