Nigella Lawson to read out UK’s votes at Eurovision final
TV chef Nigella Lawson will read out the UK’s votes during Saturday’s Eurovision final.
The 55-year-old will reveal who the United Kingdom have chosen to award the famed ‘douze points’ to.
She will deliver the results live from the BBC Television Centre in London to the Wiener Stadthalle arena in Vienna.
The show is beamed live around the globe to an estimated TV audience of 200m people, making it the most watched non-sporting event on the planet.
This year sees 40 country take part in the contest’s 60th edition – with a once off participation of Australia.
UK will be represented by duo Electro Velvet who will sing electro-swing song ‘Still in love with you’.
Ireland must be in the top ten of Thursday’s second semi final in order to progress to Saturday’s final.
17-year-old Molly Sterling will perform in the second slot on Thursday night, with her track ‘Playing with numbers’.
