Neil Young + Promise of the Real have announce two Irish dates as part of the Rebel Content tour.
They'll play the SSE Arena, Belfast on June 7 and the 3Arena Dublin on June 8 with tickets going on sale Friday December 18 at 9am from usual outlets.
Promise of the Real, featuring Willie Nelson's sons Lukas and Micah, became Neil Youn'gs back band this year on his 36th studio album, The Monsanto Years, and the accompanying tour.
The US tour featured sets which often exceeded three hours as well as some tracks which were performed for the first time in 40 years.
There was a total of 565 songs played across the 23 shows.
At the end of the tour Young posted this message to Facebook:
“Thanks to Promise of the Real for making this tour such a wonderful experience in my life. I love all the bands I have played with, but this band (and the multi generational thing) is epic!
“The #RebelContentTour was an experience I will never forget. Once in a lifetime. The guys, Lukas, Micah, Corey, Tony and Tato are the greatest!
“Amazing how easy and natural it was to rock on the old songs and the brand new ones – from Cortez to Big Box, from Wolf Moon to Out On The Weekend.
“We played songs we had never played before
That has never happened to me
the new songs and the hits
& 3-hour performances night after night.
The crew loved it, the band, and people too!
Playing with these guys was a gift –
Such positivity, pure energy & no fear
I loved rocking with Promise of the Real
I love this band
Lets keep it going…”
