Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have landed and they've been making the most of what Grafton Street has to offer ahead of their 3Arena gigs this weekend.

The duo has a massive Irish fan base and play tonight, Saturday night and Sunday night at the city centre venue.

Macklemore took to Snapchat to chart his journey down Grafton Street where he encountered popcorn donuts, random babies, retro phones, clogs, and more delights.

It looks like they may have availed of Airbnb on Friday night as they had a "Dublin sleepover".

The Grammy-winning rapper is a big fan of Ireland.  In 2014 he made a special video for Irish fans ahead of his 'largest headlining show of all time' (at that point) Marlay Park gig.

He first played Dublin at the Twisted Pepper in 2011.  The show sold out and the rapper was wowed by the crowd's reaction.

"I had never experienced that level of energy the Irish brought to the show," he said.

"May family's history comes from Ireland so to get that type of love felt like a homecoming, a community of people whose support for my music would only be rivalled by my own of Seattle, Washington.  There was nothing like it."
