Amongst the treasures unearthed by director Brett Morgan in the process of making the Kurt Cobain documentary Cobain: Montage of Heck is this recording of the Nirvana frontman covering The Beatles.

The recording of 'And I Love Her' is just one of countless recordings of songs, poems, and conversations which give an insight into the man behind the most famous band on earth in the early 90s.

Morgan was given access to the material, from the Cobain family archives, by co-producer and Cobain's daughter Frances Bean.

Who is Frances Bean Cobain?

Cobain apparently once said he liked the Beatles but hated Paul McCartney.  Speaking to Rolling Stone, Morgan said, ""Nobody in Kurt's life — not his management, wife, bandmates — had ever heard his Beatles thing.

"I found it on a random tape. It's a Paul song. How's that for shattering the myth?"

The documentary has been garnering rave reviews worldwide and is still screening at selected cinemas in Ireland.
