Kodaline to play free gig this Saturday

Popular rock band Kodaline will play a free gig this Saturday, to celebrate the launch of their new album.

The four piece band will release ‘Coming Up for Air’ tomorrow, February 6th.

To mark the occasion, the Swords natives will play a free acoustic gig at Whelan’s this Saturday afternoon at 1pm.

To be eligible to gain access, fans must purchase a copy of the album from HMV on Henry Street or Grafton Street in exchange for a wristband.

Only 400 wristbands will be allocated for this free gig, so arriving early is advisable.

This event is strictly over 12s, however parents/ guardians of under 16s are welcome to wait for their minor in the front bar of Whelans.

Only Wristband holders will be able to access the venue.

The band, who have enjoyed phenomenal success at home and abroad over the last year, will kick off their UK tour on February 15th.

The quartet will play Kilmainham on Friday June 26 2015, and Cork the day before on June 25.

Tickets (€39.05 including booking fee) for both shows go on sale Thursday February 12 at 9am from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and www.ticketmaster.ie
