Hollywood actress and Juliette and the Licks singer Juliette Lewis has been learning about the age old Irish practice of 'shifting'.
On Tuesday night she posted a gig announcement to her Twitter account with the caption, "LONDON #julietteandthelicks show JUST ANNOUNCED!! Get tics NOW. SO FCKN EXCITED TO PLAY UK AGAIN."
One of her Irish fans, Paul, responded with, "What about Ireland? I'm sure you remember shifting me in @mydolans after your gig all those years ago!"
Juliette was a little confused by the tweet and asked fans what "shifting" means. Many were happy to oblige with a response.
Dave O'Grady told her "it's the fun bit before the pre-nup and the divorce" and she tweeted, "Wow you are funny!"
She was also informed that shifting is "making out", "an Irish kiss", or "same as snogging or wearing the face off someone".

Then Dolans Pub in Limerick tweeted Paul to say, "In your dreams" to which he replied, "On my life! Down at the stage after last song!"
