The duo took to Twitter to praise the singer and offer their support to her after #TalorSwiftIsOverParty began trending on Twitter - a fictitious fiesta where people who aren't fans of Taylor got together to talk trash about the star on social media.

However, Jedward clearly didn't attend the party. They met the Bad Blood singer back in 2011 at her Dublin gig and have been big fans ever since.

Taking to Twitter, the former X Factor stars defended Taylor: "People should be Giving Taylor Swift respect for being such a strong woman in a world thats full of male egos."

They added: "All the misconceptions about Taylor Swift are stupid and created by people with no respect she's a lot more then whats put out there.

"Keep listening to your dearest friends Taylor cause they know you best and stay away from the tangled web of bad blood.

"Its always Taylor Swift who's the first to raise and lend a helping hand when there is problem’s in the music industry like what hero."
