'It's like U2, it's tasteless' - Man who hates U2 eats two tickets to Dublin gig

A man who despises rock superstars U2 chewed and swallowed two tickets to the band's recent gig at the 3Arena.

He washed down the rather bland meal with a cup of piping hot coffee.

The stunt was organised by Radio Nova 100, who conducted a poll asking listeners whether the two coveted tickets should go to super-fan Stuart or deeply uninterested Connor.

Connor won the vote and promptly wolfed down the tickets.

"It's like U2, it's tasteless," he quipped.

The band played 3 sold out gigs in Dublin this week and fans report that the musicians were in top form.

On Monday night Bono opened the show by paying homage to his hometown.

“We’ve spent the last nine months travelling the world trying to explain what the North side of Dublin was.

"But tonight we don’t need to, because we’re here.”
